How does the Tournament Bracket Generator work?
Enter team names (4 to 32 teams), click Generate Bracket, and the bracket is created with proper seeding. Click on a team's name in each match to declare them the winner — they automatically advance to the next round. Continue until a champion is crowned.
How does seeding work?
The tool supports 4, 8, 16, and 32 team single-elimination brackets. The bracket size is automatically determined by rounding up your team count to the next supported size. BYE matches are automatically inserted for empty slots.
Can I randomize the bracket instead of seeding?
Yes! Uncheck the 'Auto-seed by entry order' option and use the Shuffle button to randomize the matchups. You can also manually edit the team list before generating the bracket.
Can I share the tournament result?
After a champion is crowned, the Share Result button copies a formatted message with the champion's name to your clipboard. Paste it anywhere to announce the winner.
Does the bracket save between sessions?
Yes, the bracket state is preserved in sessionStorage so refreshing the page won't lose your progress. Each locale has its own saved bracket.
Can I run a double-elimination tournament?
Currently only single-elimination brackets are supported. Double-elimination and round-robin formats are planned for future updates.
