Why Use a Classroom Seater?
Arranging seats at the start of a new term, before a test, or after a seating shake-up can eat up precious teaching time. A classroom seater removes the guesswork: type your student names (or auto-fill by count), choose the number of rows and seats per row, and hit Assign seats. The tool shuffles everyone fairly and instantly builds an animated seating chart you can project or screenshot.
Fair seating is also a great classroom-management tool — it keeps students from self-selecting cliques and gives every student a fresh seat neighbor.
What Makes This Seater Different
- Fair by default: Assignments use the Web Crypto API (
crypto.getRandomValues()) through the shared secure module, so every layout is uniformly random and bias-free. - Gender arrangements: Keep rows mixed, separate girls and boys into their own blocks, or alternate girl / boy across the room.
